Haunted Painting ?
Not all haunted paintings are scary looking like the one of the two strange little kids that was sold on Ebay recently. This lovely painting hangs in the Antique's Plus store (located in the Dake House) in Genoa...Apparently it's the favorite of a resident ghost. The shop owner was prepared to sell the painting, that belonged to her late mother, on three separate occasions. Each time a buyer came forth ready to purchase it, the painting would fall from the wall with a loud crash. The walls are solid wood and there was no reason for this to happen. Neither the frame nor the painting was ever damaged in any of the falls.
After this had happened for the third time the owner announced that someone was trying to tell her something and that she would not sell the painting. This must have made the ghost happy; the painting has not fallen since.
Besides the ghost who covets this painting, the Dake House is believed to be haunted by at least two other ghosts.
